Batch filling allows you to prepare prescriptions in groups rather than one at a time, helping save time and reduce workflow interruptions.
Step 1: Add Prescriptions to a Batch
- Navigate to the patient profile.
- Under Rx History, click on the prescriptions you want to include.
- Click Batch to add the prescriptions to the batch queue.
- Repeat these steps for all prescriptions you want to batch, across any patient profiles.

Step 2: Access the Batch Queue
- Click the Batch tab in the left-hand toolbar.
- Under the Queue tab, you will see all prescriptions you’ve added to the batch.

Step 3: Process the Batch
- Click Select All at the bottom of the screen.
- Choose Begin Refill (if refilling prescriptions).
- From this screen, you can also print labels as needed or resubmit billing as cash.
Step 4: Review Batch Status
Once processed, prescriptions will move into the appropriate category:
- Failed: The prescription has no refills remaining or an unexpected error occurred with billing.
- Review: You manually fixed an error and now need to review it before completing the billing process.
- Completed: The refill was successful.

Step 5: Resolve Failed Prescriptions
- Click on a failed prescription to open it in the Rx tab.
- Resolve the issue by either:
- Completing a pharmacist authorization, or faxing the prescriber to request additional refills.
