This section walks you through how to create and bill a new prescription received by fax. The same process can also be completed starting at Step 2 by scanning a prescription image using the Scan icon in the Rx tab.

For the purposes of this manual this button is grayed out, due to no scanner being connected, but your computer if connected properly will have it available.
Step 1: Review Incoming Faxes
- Navigate to the Faxes tab in the left-hand menu.
- Select Rx Faxes to view prescription faxes.
- Set the date range to today’s date to make sure you are seeing the most recent faxes.
- Quick Tip: Check Rx faxes daily to avoid delays.
- Click on a fax to view the prescription image on the right-hand side of the screen.

Step 2: Create the Prescription
- Below the fax image, click Create Rx.

- You will be redirected to the Dispensing tab.
- Enter the required prescription details, including:
- Patient name
- Prescriber (doctor)
- Drug name
- Quantity
- Days supply
- Remaining quantity
- Number of refills
- SIG (directions for use)
Step 3: Select Insurance and Submit
- Select the insurance provider the patient would like this prescription billed through, if applicable.
- Click Continue.
- Review the information and submit the prescription to the appropriate insurance provider.
- Click Submit to complete the billing process.
Step 4: Confirm and Finalize
- Once submitted, the prescription will be successfully created and will appear under the Rx History section of the patient’s profile.
- Print any labels and receipts as required.
