Billing for narcotics is not permitted until the Ontario Narcotics Monitoring Plan (NMS) information is entered.
Enabling Ontario Narcotics Monitoring Plan
Step 1: Go to the patient profile
Step 2: Tap the edit icon on the top right (pencil)
Step 3: Scroll down and add in the Ontario Narcotics Monitoring Plan
Step 4: Add your license number
Step 5: Select Ontario.
- If Ontario is not available, select the option highlighted in the image or the option directly below it.
- This will automatically populate a license number.
Step 6: Click save
Step 7: Return to dispensing and attempt to bill the prescription again.
Narcotic prescriptions cannot be billed until this information is submitted in the patient profile.
