How can we help? 👋

Clover Payment Terminal Setup

Clover Integration Setup:

  1. Download the “Secure Network Pay Display” app on the Clover App Market
  1. Open the Device Settings App on the Clover device
  1. Tap Network & Internet
  1. Tap Wi-Fi
  1. Tap the gear icon next to the Wi-Fi network you are connected to on the Clover device
  1. Tap “Advanced” near the bottom under “Security”
  1. Scroll down and take note of the network details, we need the ip address, gateway, subnet mask (write this down somewhere, so that you can use this info as the static ip we will set shortly)
  1. Tap the pencil icon to the right of “Network Details” at the very top of the screen
  1. Tap Advanced options
  1. Scroll down and tap “DHCP” under ip settings and change it to static (if it is already on static ignore this step)
  1. Scroll down again and you will see where you can enter the ip information (the reason we wrote it down is because Clover will auto populate incorrect information once you switch it to static, you have to fix this and put the right information in)
  1. Put all the right information in for the ip address, gateway
    1. Network prefix length should be 24 usually
    2. DNS1 do the same as the gateway
    3. DNS2 you can do 8.8.8.8
  1. Tap Save
  1. Back on the Home Screen of the Clover Device, we need to open network pay display, we need to tap the 3 dots in the top left corner and tap “Settings” then make sure “Server is Secured” is unchecked (this will use HTTP instead of HTTPS) and make sure “Enable Pairing Screen” is checked on.
  1. Click configure and restart server
  1. Tap Initiate Pairing
  1. Copy the serial number and the link from the Network Pay Display app into the box settings for Clover, check off disable GP terminal connection, scroll up and click save settings
  1. Scroll back down and click pair clover device on Box Labs
  1. Click Cancel on Clover (to close the QR on network pay display and reveal the manager password prompt underneath)
  1. Enter the manager passcode
  1. Now it will ask for a pairing code, look at the pairing code on Box Labs that shows up right above connect, enter the pairing code on the clover device prompt
  1. Enter the manager password again
  1. Open the network pay display app again
  1. Click connect on Box
  1. Enter the manager password again
  1. It will ask for another pairing code, check Box Labs again, there will be a new one in the same place as before, enter this new code on the Clover prompt, now it is connected
