Instructions for Semi-Integrated Terminals
If you are using a semi-integrated payment terminal (ie. using the SEND button) for cashback:
- 1. Go to Admin Menu on the bottom left of your Ingenico payment terminal
- 2. Go to 3 - Setup Menu
- 3. Go to 3 - Tran Options
- 4. Turn on Cashback (Debit) - you may need to settle the batch
- 5. Go to Cashback Setup, set a limit (eg. 100) and CashBackAmt (5, 10, 20)
- 6. Whenever a customer uses a debit card, they will be prompted for cashback on the terminal
- 7. THERE IS NO NEED TO DO A NEGATIVE CASH PAYMENT ON BOX. On Box, just treat this as pure debit transaction (put the regular full amount on debit).
Standalone Terminals
If you do not want to use the terminal for cashback (eg. if you are using Box with an unintegrated payment device)
- 1. Use a negative value in the cash payment section to indicate the cash back
